Reconciliation for the Rest of Us
An Honest Look at Confession, Fear, and Finding Our Way Back

Let’s be real—many of us struggle with the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Maybe it’s been years since your last confession. Maybe you went through RCIA and received all your sacraments of initiation at the Easter Vigil, but somehow never got around to your first Reconciliation. Maybe you’ve simply fallen out of the routine or unfortunately, felt shunned by a priest, and are unsure how to begin again.
We invite you to “Reconciliation for the Rest of Us”—a gentle, honest, and hope-filled evening designed for those who feel one foot out the church door, yet still sense God tugging at their heart. Led by Fr. Elijah Puthoff and Katherine Walton, our youth minister, this presentation will walk through what the Church truly teaches about confession, why it matters, and how to approach it with peace rather than fear. Together, we’ll look at the beauty of God’s mercy and the freedom found in simply coming home. Come as you are—no judgment, no pressure, just an open door and an open conversation about grace. |
