Families choose our home study option for different reasons. For some it’s a supplement to their homeschooling program and for others it simply fits their schedule better than our in-person programming. No matter what your reason, we are happy you are here and modeling the faith for your child.
This year, we will be using the “Faith & Life” program from My Catholic Faith Delivered. This program incorporates various elements which are designed to reach different types of learners and help them to understand what it means to be Catholic. Every chapter ends with a family catechesis guide to equip parents and encourage faith formation in the home.
The materials for this course are all online. Parents will be given a suggested schedule for completing lessons and when assessments are due. If you have done home study with us in the past, you will be pleased to know that this new program streamlines the assessment process. We will be able to see your child’s scores without you needing to send them via email.

Ann grew up on the west side of Cincinnati. She graduated from the College of Mount St. Joseph with a B.A. in Elementary Education, and later earned an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Xavier University. She taught in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati schools for 21 years, educating children in all grade levels from kindergarten through 8th grade before joining the staff at St. John.
Ann and her husband, Jeff, have been parishioners at St. John since 2002. They have three adult children and one grandchild. In her spare time, Ann enjoys being with family, crafting, reading, and watching football. |

Ongoing child protection training will still be required for all volunteers and employees - it will consist of quarterly interactive video-based training instead of monthly bulletins.
