First Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation, commonly known as confession, or the Sacrament of Penance, is open to children who are also preparing to receive their first Holy Communion. The importance of becoming sensitive to right and wrong and making responsible choices begins at an early age. Children are encouraged to form the habit of frequent confession.

Children in the second grade and up are invited to prepare for the celebration of this sacrament. Preparation and formation is a process that includes parent-guided learning, weekly participation in Mass, and additional group gatherings for communal preparation and dialogue. A registration fee provides student textbook, parent guide, and retreat programming.
