EDGE is an effective catechesis for Catholic middle schoolers that helps with life's most challenging years.  As middle school youth develop intellectually, they no longer accept faith simply because it is what their parents believe.  They have real questions that need real answers.  944 Catholic parishes in 10 countries have an Edge ministry for their middle school youth, including St. Carlo Acutis Family of Parishes!

CLASS SCHEDULE
90 minute EDGE classes are offered once a week at the Campus of St. John.

JOIN THE GROUPME
GroupMe is a full-featured chat for messages and notifications to help keep you in the loop.

Edge is divided into three semesters: fall, spring, and summer. Meeting once a week helps provide consistency and the ability to connect the faith lessons presented at each Edge Night. A great complement to this ministry is the use of Social Nights in addition to the routine Edge Nights. They may take extra time from your day, but middle school youth need a place to have fun with friends and get to know their Core Team Members.

LIFETEEN CLASSROOM

NET Ministries
NET has been on the front lines of youth ministry for decades. From retreats to ongoing mentorship, their support is valuable. Boost your youth's faith life when you let NET challenge your child to follow Jesus and embrace a life of community in the church.

NET programming is organized outside of the St. Carlo Acutis Family of Parishes.
A limit of 80 students are accepted for each session and a registration fee is required to participate (scholarships are available).

Main Office: St. John
I grew up going to youth group events in both middle school and high school.  I had such a blast that I knew one day I wanted to show others what God can (and does!) do for them by showing them what He's done for me.  If you want to hear the story of how God answered my prayers and brought me here, I would be happy to share it with you sometime.  I am SO excited to be here with you all!  Here's some fun facts about myself.

I graduated from Thomas More University in 2021 with my degree in Theater Education and a minor in Theology.  I love hanging out with my five younger siblings (3 sisters and 2 brothers), playing various instruments (guitar, ukulele, piano, harmonica, and the kalimba), dancing (ballet, tap, lyrical, and pointe); pulling (harmless) shenanigans on my siblings and friends, playing with my three chinchillas, wearing flannels, wearing Converse, collecting keychains, traveling to different states, trying new hairstyles, enjoying Skyline and Graeter’s, leading Praise and Worship, drinking Root Beer, and sliding down the slide that’s inside our house (it’s a great shortcut from the girls’ room to the basement!).
Child Protection Information
The Archdiocese uses the SafeParish platform for Child Protection training and compliance. SafeParish is an organization that specializes in training and education solutions for organizations world-wide. They have 20+ years of experience in providing child safe environment training programs. SafeParish will continue to work with our current background check provider – Selection.com. Ongoing child protection training will still be required for all volunteers and employees - it will consist of quarterly interactive video-based training instead of monthly bulletins. Please check your email for an invitation from SafeParish ([email protected]). If you have received the message, simply follow the prompts. Otherwise, you can link to the SafeParish address and click the “Register” link to begin the process. It is your responsibility, to make sure your contact information is current and the list of locations in your account is current. You can add and delete locations by going to 'Update My Account.'

Background Checks
All employees and volunteers MUST have background checks completed – either electronically and/or through fingerprinting. If you have questions, please contact the Safe Environment Coordinator.
