Want to really embrace Eucharistic Adoration? We invite your family, group, or organization to adopt an hour during our historic 40 Hours event. This simply means that you agree to watch over the Eucharist for the full duration of your assigned hour so that He is not left alone. Your hour will be recognized for a special intention of your choosing. Adopt an hour by clicking the link below. If the hour you would like it taken, or all slots are full, we encourage you to come and pray with us at any time.
Join us as we celebrate the feast day of St. Carlo Acutis on Sunday, October 12, 2025, we will gather at St. Gabriel Church for an outdoor Mass at 11am, followed immediately by a Parish Family Picnic with lunch and fellowship. There will not be an 11am Mass at St. John or an 11:30am Mass at St. Michael on this day.
Bring a chair and a side to share! Mass will be held on the lawn in front of the St. Gabriel Rectory. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on during Mass. Hot dogs, goetta dogs, brats and drinks will be provided at our picnic this year. We invite parishioners and their families to provide a side dish or dessert to share.
A teenager, like many others, going to school and seeing his friends, Saint Carlo Acutis displayed a deep love for Christ in the Eucharist. Carlo's sainthood has sparked a renewed interest in the Eucharist among Catholics. His story also serves as a reminder that holiness is attainable even amid modern challenges, and tools like social media and the Internet can be an avenue through which someone can serve the Kingdom of God.
The churches of St. Gabriel, St. John, and St. Michael remain dedicated to their original patron saints, and those dedications will never change. As we look ahead to forming one parish, it is time to embrace a new name and patron who will guide us in faith. After prayer and discernment, that name is Saint Carlo Acutis.
Saint Carlo is a model for our times: a young man who loved technology, enjoyed soccer, built websites, and lived the ordinary experiences familiar to us all. Yet in the midst of these everyday activities, he sought holiness. In Saint Carlo, we find a modern example of sainthood—someone who understands our struggles and the world we live in, yet shows us how to remain faithful to Christ. In Saint Carlo Acutis, we have a companion on the journey of faith and a reminder that holiness is possible in every age.
