Recurring Studies & Scripture Groups

Tuesday Morning Bile Study: This bible study meets at St. John Spirit House from 9:30–11:00 a.m. and is open to all, with no reservation required. The group typically focuses on a particular Gospel writer or a specific book of the Bible, spending 8–10 weeks at a time diving deeper into Scripture through discussion, reflection, and shared faith.​

Men's Tuesday Morning Bible Study: This men's bible study meets at St. John Favret Hall from 9:30–11:00 a.m. and is open to all, with no reservation required. Wednesday Sisters in Faith: Join us in the St. John Hospitality Room at 9am for a Bible study focused on prayerful discussion and reflection on Scripture. This ministry pauses during the summer months and between Thanksgiving and the New Year. ​Please contact Alice to join.

Thursday Morning Scripture Study: Morning Scripture Study invites you to gather in the St. John Pavilion from 9:30–11:30 a.m. for prayerful reflection on Scripture. Participants receive ordinary, practical messages of hope designed to strengthen and encourage them in everyday life. Contact Jeanne to join.

Thursday Women Together: Women of all ages are invited to gather on the first Thursday of each month at 9:15am inside St. Michael Church. Together, Catholic women read, reflect on God’s presence in their lives, and build meaningful community. ​Please contact Carolyn to join.

Thursday Men's Bible Study: This men's bible study meets weekly at 9:15am in the St. John Spirit House. All men are welcome to join for Scripture study, discussion, and fellowship.

Saturday Morning Men's Bible Study: This bible study meets each Saturday at 7:30am in the St. Michael Ministries Room for a one-hour gathering. Together, participants explore the upcoming Gospel, pray, and share discussion as they walk their faith journey together.​

Saturday Women of the Word: Women of the Word meet on the first Saturday of each month from 10-11am in the St. Michael Cafeteria. Together as Catholic women, participants explore the upcoming Gospel, pray, share conversation, and reflect on their spiritual journeys. Please contact Anna to join.​

grief Support

Our grief support partner, Companions on the Journey, uses the GriefShare program, a 13-session series offering compassionate guidance and meaningful support for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Sessions are not sequential, so participants may join at any time. Companions on the Journey meets on Tuesdays from 6-8pm in the St. John Hospitality Room, just inside the main church building. To learn more about the program, visit griefshare.org. Spiritual Practices

Mind, Body & Spirit is a 60-minute guided practice designed to help you care for your mind, body, and spirit so you can be renewed for the work God has planned for you. Through gentle movement appropriate for all ages and experience levels, this session offers a peaceful opportunity to slow down, stretch, and reconnect. The gathering takes place in St. John Favret Hall from 6:30–7:30 p.m. Please bring a mat and water bottle, and contact Michelle to join.

Healing Touch practitioners use gentle, light, or near-body touch to help restore balance and harmony to the human energy system, creating an optimal environment for the body’s natural healing to occur. Practitioners believe that all healing comes from God and pray to be instruments of God’s healing presence. Healing Touch is offered on the second Wednesday of each month in the St. John Favret Hall from 6-8 p.m. Please contact Pat at (513) 807-8286 to schedule a time.​

PRAYER GROUPs

Prayer Groups

Tuesday Online Prayer Group: Join us for an online prayer group each Tuesday from 12:45–1:45pm. This virtual gathering offers an opportunity to make a spiritual connection through prayer practices such as the Rosary, Lectio Divina, chaplets, and litanies, which vary from week to week. The first few minutes are reserved for fellowship and sharing intentions before the group enters into prayer. Meetings are held via Zoom, a free video conferencing platform. To join the group and receive the Zoom link and weekly emails, please contact Debra. ​

Exposition is when the Blessed Sacrament is placed in a monstrance and displayed on the altar for prayer and worship. Adoration is the time spent praying before Jesus truly present in the Eucharist during Exposition. Benediction is a special blessing given at the conclusion of Adoration using the Blessed Sacrament. The Rosary is a prayer centered on the life of Jesus Christ and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Have you noticed the rosaries available in our churches? They are lovingly handmade by parish volunteers who donate their time and talent to create rosaries for parishioners, hospital visits, nursing home residents, retreats, and other ministries throughout our Family of Parishes.

Interested in learning how to make corded rosaries? No experience is necessary. New volunteers are always welcome, and training is provided. For more information about joining this ministry, please contact Mary Ann.
