Each program and ministry of the Church keeps Jesus at the center and meets you where you are. We have additional opportunities to learn and serve through our parish family and community for adults and teens. ADVISORY BOARDS
PASTORAL COUNCIL
This advisory group makes recommendations to the pastor about the pastoral life of the parish. They keep themselves informed about the demographics, interests and attitudes of parishioners, and give input to the pastor regarding major policies and directions of the parish. The Parish Pastoral Council meets every six weeks. Please contact your parish's business manager for more information.

finance council
This council advises the pastor on parish finances, helps the staff prepare the annual parish budget and presents the budget to the pastor for his approval. This council also shares in the long-range financial planning of the parish. Per Canon law, every parish is required to have a finance committee. Members of the committee are appointed by the pastor. WORSHIP COMMISSION
The Worship Commission provides consultation to the director of worship concerning seasonal liturgies, liturgical ministries, and the quality of worship within the parish. It also shares in some planning and implementation. Please contact St. Michael Director of Liturgy, Brian Bisig or St. John Director of Liturgy, Scott Steinke for more information.
As members of the Worship Commission, individuals are committed to helping our St. Carlo Acutis Family of Parishes community more fully experience God. They bring together various liturgical backgrounds, and meet with open minds and a desire to learn. They will provide support to those involved in parish liturgical ministries. Through education, continuing evaluation and collaboration with the parish community, they strive to create a worship environment that promotes Christian growth and faith.

COMMISSION DUTIES
It shall be the function of the Worship Commission to do the following:
The Worship Commission is to be the representative of the total parish in liturgical matters. As a body its role is to make recommendations and assist the Pastor and Staff in providing a quality worship experience for the parish. Commission members are appointed by liturgical staff and the pastor.
It shall be the function of the Worship Commission to do the following:
- Determine the long range goals and objectives for liturgical and sacramental celebrations of the parish
- Identify the need for, and assist in the organization of all ministries related to the liturgical life of the parish.
- Review the activities and decisions of all groups of ministers and make recommendations regarding the same as necessary.

PARENT ADVISORY BOARD (PAB)
The Parent Advisory Board supports our youth ministers/evangelists through prayer, evaluation, brainstorming, and hands on volunteering. The purpose of this ministry is advising programming, assisting with challenges, and visioning for building towards a brighter future for not just our young people but their families.
This advisory board represents our families who are seeking to raise their children in the faith from the St. Carlo Acutis Family of Parishes. These adult parishioners and staff members provide a consistent support for youth ministry that often has rapid turnover. They assist the current Youth Ministers with parish history and traditions to continue our continued commitment to young people.
Ideally, the group includes the youth ministers/evangelists, as well as two representatives from each of our parishes in our family. Representation from moms and dads is encouraged.
Duties:
Staff members of the Youth and Family Evangelization Team will report at these meetings, asking for assistance and feedback for programming, reflecting on strengths, and helping with solutions as needed.
This advisory board represents our families who are seeking to raise their children in the faith from the St. Carlo Acutis Family of Parishes. These adult parishioners and staff members provide a consistent support for youth ministry that often has rapid turnover. They assist the current Youth Ministers with parish history and traditions to continue our continued commitment to young people.
Ideally, the group includes the youth ministers/evangelists, as well as two representatives from each of our parishes in our family. Representation from moms and dads is encouraged.
Duties:
- Being SafeParish certified, keeping up with quarterly bulletins.
- Attend a monthly meeting with the other commission members and youth minister.
- Pray daily for the ministry, through the intercession of Blessed Carlo Acutis, Blessed Chiara Badano, and St. John Paul II.
- Share one positive story a month about youth ministry with parishioners.
- Willing to be an ambassador to 5-7 people within the parish to call upon for prayers, support, and volunteering.
- Encourage the youth ministers to continue to work across the family of parishes to create a unified ministry.
Staff members of the Youth and Family Evangelization Team will report at these meetings, asking for assistance and feedback for programming, reflecting on strengths, and helping with solutions as needed.
outreach commission
The St. Michael Parish Community Outreach Commission provides consultation to the pastor through members of the pastoral staff about the needs and service projects inside and outside of the parish. This commission desires to be witnesses and examples of Jesus' love by welcoming all who see Him, assisting those in need, and sharing our talents and resources for the good of others. The Community Outreach Commission meets on the third Monday monthly at 7:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Community Outreach Commission Chair, Rhonda Marshall.
ADULT EVANGELIZATION COMMISSION

The purpose of the Adult Evangelization Team:
To support our adult evangelization staff through prayer, evaluation, brainstorming, and hands on volunteering. We encourage our ministry to be a well-rounded ministry (based on the document Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us by the USCCB), and a ministry that engages all adult parishioners and those who live within our geographical boundaries. (Canon 528)
This team should represent the evangelization efforts of our parish as we seek to promote and follow a discipleship pathway. This includes events and activities covering all stages of the pathway: Pre-Evangelization, Evangelization, and Discipleship.
This small group of adult parishioners provides a consistent support for a ministry that is often called to many different directions with Beacons of Light, the culture of the parishes and communities, and the events and circumstances of the outside world. At the heart of this ministry is encounter with Christ, and building relationship with Christ and one another.
Ideally, the group includes the Director of Evangelization, Director of Adult Formation, a representative from Young Adult Ministry, clergy, as well as two representatives from each of our parishes in our family.

- Willing to be an ambassador to 5-7 people within the parish to call upon to promote the events and activities of the team.
- Encourage the staff to continue to work across the family of parishes to create a culture of Christian unity.
